There are three general types of online classes:

1. Classes in a computer lab in the school where the online aspect is part of a traditional class.

2. Virtual (i.e. online) classes in a school computer lab where the instructor is at a remote site but there is an on site adult as well.

3. Virtual classes where the entire course is held online. accessed by individuals either in school, at home or anywhere.
